How we work with Xero API
PX360 Project Management software has API integration with Xero Accounting software, that is based around using the data that is needed in managing construction projects. The information we share with Xero is tracking categories, customer name, bills, credit notes, sales invoices, employee name and payroll calendars.
How we request data? PX360 and Xero both are working with one another 24/7. PX360 requests API from instant to 2hr intervals for expense data through to 24hr automated requests for other less frequent updates.
Controlling Project Data
The data is managed to a project level only, keeping control of anything you don’t want in PX360 in Xero only. This is done using the main Xero Tracking Category called Projects or Project Codes (commonly called). In applying this project unique code within each of the bills or sales invoices, PX360 will receive this information immediately. With use of Receipt Forwarding software new bills created in Xero will also create in PX360 at the same time. No additional human entry required.
Update Xero & Update PX360
The great design of PX360 is that when values are updated in Xero it updates in PX360. This ensures that Xero and PX360 remain the same as they are working from the same information. No duplicates, errors or balancing issues. Removing company accounts teams having different information from project teams.
Timesheeting & Xero Payroll Export
PX360 gives labour teams the ability to track timesheets across multiple devices, down to a building task level, allowing for accurate budget management and Cost-Plus contract capabilities. Once timesheets are approved from the Desktop app, these can be exported to Xero. Once exported, timesheets will show in the Timesheets section of Payroll in Xero, ready for pay approval. These will come ready with regular time and overtime in place. Taking less time for pay run, while projects can accurately track labour for budgets.
